Job summary

Capital One’s Retail Design team is seeking an interior architectural designer to lead design management of special projects for cafes and branch spaces. You will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver results that shape the company’s physical footprint and customer experience.

You will manage from feasibility through implementation, using sketches and 3D visuals to guide architects and partners. Strong design and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Military experience.
• At least 2 years of in-house, client side architectural or design experience.
• At least 2 years of commercial retail design or architectural experience.
• At least 2 years of architectural project management experience
• At least 2 years of experience selecting and sourcing architectural materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver special projects inclusive of new build cafe, renovations, ATMs and other strategic initiatives to elevate Capital One’s existing and growing physical footprint.
• Plan, design, manage and execute project plans and drawings both in-house and in collaboration with external partners to ensure delivery.
• Concept and deliver exterior and interior design by using sketches, 3D visualization and presentations skills to align with leadership and provide guidance to supporting architects.
• Development of design standard tools and elements that can be scalable across new build and renovation projects.
• Drive cross-functional projects based on defined priorities; ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and / or escape as needed; manage complex up and downstream project impacts.
