Job summary

Murphy is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead the engineering design delivery for National Grid substations and major transmission projects. The role involves coordinating HV plant, protection, cables, OHL, and civils with internal and external designers and OEMs, and ensuring compliance with CDM 2015.

Qualifications

• Experience managing multi-disciplinary design packages on Power, Transmission/Distribution or Major Civils projects.
• Experience as Principal Designer Representative under CDM 2015.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering design delivery of major National Grid projects.
• Lead design management at tender and EDC stages; allocate resources.
• Integrate HV Plant, Protection, Cables, OHL and Civils from internal/external teams.
• Ensure design information is managed in line with CDM 2015.
