Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Design Manager 2 to lead the design delivery for industrial/manufacturing projects in Dallas. You will organize design participants, processes and technology, coordinating with design teams and trade partners to meet project goals.

The role requires proactive management from concept through startup, ensuring alignment with project strategy, codes and client expectations. The position involves collaboration across disciplines and potential travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or related field (Required).
• 8+ years design and/or construction management experience (Preferred).
• Cross-functional knowledge of architectural, structural, MEP and related trades.

Responsibilities

• Interprets design build RFPs and develops work plans with key stakeholders.
• Manages outside design consultants and project schedules to meet deadlines.
• Collaborates with design partners and internal disciplines to align scope.
• Develops budgets and work schedules as monitoring tools for progress.
• Prepares the project execution plan and change management procedures.
• Leads client contact and supports business development activities.
