Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Design Management Director to provide overall direction for design-build and EPC project work. You will lead the design team, coordinate with trade partners, and drive design-stage success from business development through project completion.

The role demands proactive leadership of the design process across multiple disciplines, ensuring alignment with project goals, schedule, and budget within JE Dunn's values and strategy.

Qualifications

• 15+ years design and/or construction management experience.
• 5+ years people management experience.
• Cross-functional knowledge of architectural, structural, MEP, and related trades.
• Experience taking conceptual design through construction with internal/external partners.

Responsibilities

• Provides project oversight during the design phase, leading the design team and stakeholders.
• Influences and leads others to optimize performance and productivity.
• Supports business development with design-build proposals and client presentations.
• Ensures design documents meet owner program requirements and stay within budget.
• Leads design budgets, schedules, and fees in collaboration with the Construction Project Executive.
• Develops and maintains relationships with design partners and consultants.
