DLR Planning, LLC is seeking a Senior Design Manager for on-site work in Southern California. The role leads design teams on education facilities, with emphasis on seismic and retrofit projects, ensuring adherence to program, budget, environmental and legal standards.

Candidates should have 14 years of full-time facilities design or capital project experience, including 4 years in educational facilities. This is an on-site long-term position with no relocation funds.

Formación

• 14 years full-time paid professional experience in facilities design or capital project planning.
• 4 years of this experience must be with the design, planning and construction of educational facilities or similar public agencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Manages multiple projects with emphasis on seismic, critical repair and retrofit.
• Oversees design professionals through the design review process.
• Develops and coordinates the district's design process for the A&E Services to ensure plans meet requirements.
• Ensures plans are within functional program, budgetary, environmental, and legal requirements.
• Provides Architects with direction on goals, standards, site, schedule, and budget.
• Establishes and follows a design review process to meet project goals.
• Reviews design changes to keep projects within budget and reports status updates.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
