Job summary

ENGICON CM in Los Angeles is seeking a senior architect/engineer to manage multiple district design projects, emphasizing seismic, critical repair and retrofit work. You will supervise design professionals, coordinate A&E services, and ensure compliance with budgets, timeframes and LAUSD standards.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering and at least 14 years of full-time experience in facilities design or project coordination, with a preference for a master’s degree

Qualifications

• 14 years of full-time paid professional experience managing facilities design or planning and coordination of capital projects including design, contract administration, cost estimating and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Manages multiple projects with emphasis on seismic, critical repair and retrofit projects.
• Supervises a team of design professionals through the design review process.
• Coordinates A&E design services to meet program, budget, environmental and legal requirements.
• Ensures projects meet LAUSD standards and guidelines for new and modernized structures.
• Leads the process to select architectural firms based on qualifications and performance.
