Job summary

Compass is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead the product design team for the consumer experience across compass.com and the Compass mobile apps (iOS and Android). You will bridge vision with execution, mentoring designers while partnering with Engineering and Product Management to deliver high-impact features that enhance discovery, search, listings, and decision-making.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of product/UX design experience, with 2-4+ years of people management.
• Proven success leading design for high-traffic consumer digital products (web and mobile).
• Ability to align across Directors, VP, and C-suite stakeholders with clarity.
• Strong execution, resourcing, and delivery discipline.
• Excellent storytelling and executive communication.
• Experience coaching designers and developing talent.
• Fluency in native mobile guidelines and modern design tooling (Figma).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design vision for consumer touchpoints across web and mobile apps.
• Drive executive governance and align roadmaps with business value.
• Oversee design programs with strict delivery milestones and resources.
• Mentor designers and support career growth.
• Champion usability, accessibility, and cross-platform consistency.
