Job summary

Compass, Inc. seeks a Senior Design Manager to lead the product design team for the consumer experience across compass.com and the Compass consumer mobile app (iOS and Android). You will bridge vision and execution, guiding a team from discovery to delivery while collaborating with Engineering and Product Management leaders.

You will mentor designers, drive usability and accessibility, and partner with analytics to measure impact on engagement and retention in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of product/UX design experience with 2–4+ years of people management.
• Proven success leading design for high-traffic, consumer-facing digital products (web and mobile).
• Experience working with Directors, VPs, and C-suite stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design vision and execution for consumer touchpoints across web and native mobile apps.
• Interface with senior leadership and present design challenges with business value and customer outcomes.
• Drive rigorous operational discipline: staffing, milestones, capacity, and delivery timelines.
• Mentor designers, conduct regular 1:1s, support career growth and performance reviews.
• Uphold high standards for visual craft, usability, accessibility across platforms.
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Analytics to align roadmaps and KPIs.
