Job summary
Clark Construction Group, LLC in McLean, VA is seeking a Senior Design Manager to guide design-build project teams, coordinate with partner design firms, and drive high-quality design on budget and schedule. You will lead design reviews, manage comments, coordinate with technical teams and project managers, and participate in bids and responses.
A PE license and 8+ years of experience in geotechnical/construction design are desirable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical engineering.
- Licensure as a Professional Engineer in VA, MD, DC or reciprocity in 4 months.
- Strong interest in Geotechnical Construction and related tech.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality design on budget and schedule.
- Ensure design meets contractual obligations and program requirements.
- Lead stakeholder and design meetings and resolve comments.
- Coordinate design review processes across teams.
- Collaborate with technical teams, PMs, cost managers, and purchasers.
- Support bid submissions and RFP/RFQ responses with strategic insights.
- Participate in recruiting top design talent for Clark.
