Job summary

Clark Construction Group seeks a Senior Design Manager to guide partnered design firms on complex projects, leveraging internal resources, processes, and relationships to deliver on time and on budget.

The role requires a Civil/Structural/Geotechnical background with 8+ years of experience, PE licensure within the DC/MD/VA area (or reciprocity). You will lead design reviews, coordinate with internal teams, and help recruit top talent across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical engineering.
• 8+ years of design experience on deep foundation projects.
• PE license in VA, MD, DC or reciprocity within 4 months.
• Strong interest in Geotechnical Construction.
• Proficiency in numerical modeling, BIM, AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality design on budget and schedule.
• Ensure design meets contractual obligations and program requirements.
• Lead stakeholder design meetings and design conferences.
• Organize the design review process and resolve comments.
• Collaborate internally with technical teams, PMs, cost managers, and purchasers.
• Manage design issue resolution in real-time.
• Participate in bid submissions and RFP/RFQ responses with strategic insights.
• Recruit top industry talent to join Clark team.
