Job summary

Clark Construction Group in McLean, VA seeks a Preconstruction Executive to lead the preconstruction plan, coordinate design, budget and schedule, and drive client engagement from start to finish.

You will guide a project development team, manage risk, mentor staff, and ensure adherence to Clark Standards of Excellence, delivering world class service while navigating complex deliveries and multi-party contracts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years estimating, cost control in GC on large projects.
• 6+ years leading, developing and motivating teams
• Knowledge of varied project delivery methods (Lump Sum Hard Bid, GMP, Design-Build)

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagement, contract administration, budget, schedule, procurement, and design management.
• Oversee financial responsibility from project start to contract execution.
• Coordinate preconstruction meetings to align design, budget and schedule.
• Lead, train and develop team members and manage risk.
• Prepare and submit monthly status updates for preconstruction activities.
• Lead subcontractor engagement strategy across all stages of preconstruction.
• Develop relationships with owners, engineers and designers.
• Establish deadlines and monitor progress on tasks.
