Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited seeks a senior expert in systems and electronics design with 10+ years of experience to drive product development from concept to manufacturing. The role covers schematics, BOM generation, simulations, and medical device considerations.

Responsibilities include test strategy, verification, design reviews, and cross-functional collaboration with SW, mechanical, and FPGA teams to ensure robust, manufacturable designs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in systems and electronics design.
• Experience with schematic capture, BOM generation, and testing.
• Experience in medical device environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of FPGA/SoC and communications devices is a plus.
• Strong collaboration with software and mechanical teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop test strategies, verification protocols, and test plans for electrical performance and safety.
• Execute engineering tests and design verification activities.
• Participate in design reviews, risk analysis, Design Controls, V&V, and design transfer.

Job description

Subject matter expert in Systems and electronics new products design and development with 10+ years of experience

Schematics, Component selection, BOM Generation, Simulations, Testing

Subject matter expert in Power electronics, Power supply design, Motor drive circuit design for BLDC or stepper motor, Sensor interface

PCB design using Altium or Xpedition , Component placement, routing, PCB stack up, signal quality, manufacturability and cost

Simulate circuits using PSpice, Hyperlynx, Altium SPICE simulation

Experience in subsystem/system integration process collaborating with SW and mechanical team members

Work closely with a diverse team comprised of electrical, mechanical, software, FPGA, reliability, and verification team members to drive the product from concept to manufacturing

Test, characterize and troubleshoot PCBA’s to achieve optimal design performance.

Requirement development / management and Verification

Experience in engineering in medical device environment

Good to have: Experience in FPGA’s, SoC’s, memories, microcontroller, communications devices, Analog circuit, Digital circuit, ADC, DAC, EMI EMC

Key Responsibilities

• Develop test strategies, verification protocols, and engineering test plans to evaluate electrical performance, safety, reliability, and subsystem functionality.
• Develop and execute engineering tests and design verification activities.
• Participate in design reviews, risk analysis/FMEA, Design Controls, V&V, and design transfer activities.
