Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a talented Hardware Design Engineer in San Diego to advance innovation through analog, digital, and power electronics designs. You’ll work on schematic and PCB layout using Allegro or similar CAD tools and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has a B.S. in EE and 3+ years of experience, strong verbal and written communication, and the ability to design, debug, and verify complex hardware.

Qualifications

• B.S. EE (or similar) with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience in analog, digital, and power electronics hardware architectures and design.
• Schematic & PCB layout design using Allegro or similar CAD tool.
• Ability to design and debug complex electrical schematics and PCB layouts.
• Knowledge of USB 3.2, USB-PD, DisplayPort, PCIe, I2C, and SPI protocols.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts across teams.

Minimum Qualifications (SMT HW Test Engineer Role)

• B.S. EE (or similar) with 3+ years of experience
• Good understanding analog, digital, and power electronics hardware architectures and design
• Experience in schematic & PCB layout design using Allegro or a similar CAD tool
• Ability to design and debug complex electrical schemics and PCB layouts and propose clear, relevant experiments
• Working knowledge of USB 3.2, USB-PD, Display Port, PCle, 12C, SPI technologies and protocols and design
• Good oral & written communication skills - be able to communicate complex engineering concepts clearly and concisely to various cross functional teams and leadership.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay Range Minimum: $69,000 per year
• Pay Range Maximum: $128,000 per year
