Job summary

R&P Technologies is seeking a senior Design Integration Manager to coordinate cross-disciplinary engineering efforts for the AS(X) Subtender replacement program. You will lead a team of senior engineers and coordinate across electrical, structural, mechanical and naval architecture disciplines to ensure fully coordinated designs.

The role requires extensive experience in Navy ship design programs, strong communication skills, and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years supporting U.S. Navy ship design, ship acquisition or ship modernization programs.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering integration efforts.
• Strong knowledge of NAVSEA ship design processes and technical authority responsibilities.
• Ability to review engineering drawings, calculations, specifications and documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead design integration representative for the PAE-Maritime Ship Design Manager.
• Lead and mentor senior engineers and SMEs to meet objectives and milestones.
• Coordinate design efforts across electrical, structural, mechanical and naval architecture disciplines.
• Evaluate design products for technical completeness and NAVSEA compliance.
• Lead technical discussions involving design reviews, trade studies and configuration management.
• Review contract deliverables, analyses, calculations, drawings and documentation.
• Support PDR, CDR, technical interchange meetings and IPTs.
• Coordinate engineering issue resolution between government, contractors and shipyards.
• Monitor technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Assist in creating ECPs, design memos and technical recommendations.
• Assist in schedule development and tracking of engineering deliverables; ensure NAVSEA compliance.
• Provide executive briefings and written technical recommendations to leadership.
