Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks an experienced Hydrodynamics and Ship Control System Integration Team Lead to support the SSN(X) Future Attack Submarine Program Office.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, coordinate design and development activities, and manage risk, schedule, and technical execution on-site at the Washington Navy Yard with travel to Carderock. The role requires 10+ years in Navy technical programs, strong program management, and an active DoD SECRET

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Marine, Aerospace, Naval Architecture or Systems Engineering)
• 10+ years managing complex Navy technical programs with multidisciplinary teams
• Full-time on-site work capability
• Strong programmatic background in technical execution, risk management, and delivery of Navy/defense projects
• Experience with submarine or naval platforms is beneficial; hydrodynamics/submarine stability & control desired but not required
• Proficiency with MS Office, Teams, and SharePoint
• Active DoD SECRET clearance and ability to maintain it

Responsibilities

• Lead the Hydrodynamics and Ship Control System Integration Team for future submarine programs
• Coordinate and guide the engineering community across design, development, and R&D planning activities
• Align engineering tasking, oversee design and integration activities, and manage risk and schedules
• Provide programmatic leadership, stakeholder coordination, and management of technical execution on-site at Washington Navy Yard with travel to NSWC Carderock
