Job summary

R&P Technologies in the Washington, DC area is seeking a senior Design Integration Manager to coordinate multi-disciplinary ship design efforts for NAVSEA programs, ensuring designs are fully coordinated, technically sound and aligned with schedule and budget.

The role leads a team of senior engineers, supervises cross‑functional stakeholders across electrical, structural, mechanical and naval architecture domains, reviews deliverables, supports PDR/CDR, and communicates engineering

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting U.S. Navy ship design, ship acquisition or ship modernization programs.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering integration efforts.
  • Strong knowledge of NAVSEA ship design processes and technical authority responsibilities.
  • Experience coordinating design products among multiple engineering organizations.
  • Ability to review engineering drawings, calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design integration across electrical, structural, mechanical and naval architecture disciplines.
  • Coordinate design efforts across multiple engineering organizations to ensure technical completeness and compliance.
  • Review contract deliverables, analyses, calculations, drawings and documentation.
  • Support PDR, CDR, and technical interchange meetings; participate in IPTs.
  • Provide executive‑level briefings and written technical recommendations to NAVSEA leadership.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or related engineering discipline
