Job summary

Moog in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Sr. Design Engineer for the Space Actuation team. You will translate complex project requirements into computer models, layouts, and detailed drawings, ensuring BOM accuracy and design integrity.

You will collaborate with systems, project and quality engineering, apply GD&T and NX/Teamcenter skills, and support DoD clearance processes as needed. This role anchors Moog's aerospace design initiatives and carries a strong impact on product performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5+ years of design engineering in a complex manufacturing environment; aerospace preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, documentation standards, and drafting practices.
• Experience communicating with customers and vendors; proficient in NX and Teamcenter.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex project requirements into models, layouts and detailed drawings.
• Oversee design, implementation, or delivery of projects and programs.
• Collaborate with systems, project and quality engineering teams to ensure design integrity.
• Create/check detailed drawings and ensure BOM accuracy for product designs.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy, tolerance control, and materials suitability.
