Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is hiring a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Test Equipment to lead the design of hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, and electro-mechanical test systems for space, defense, and commercial products.

You will develop new test equipment, create schematics, integrate components, and guide technicians and junior engineers, with emphasis on cost, schedule, and performance goals.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with solid modeling and drafting is a plus.
• Experience with hydraulic systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, and electro-mechanical test equipment.
• Develop new test equipment assemblies and processes to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
• Design hydraulic/pneumatic schematics for test systems.
• Integrate hydraulic components into higher-level test setups.
• Support Assembly and Test technicians and guide developmental work.
• Contribute to design estimates and maintain records of changes.
• Conduct independent research and document results clearly.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate equipment assembly.
