Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or similar discipline.
• 15+ years of experience; typical incumbent has 20-25 years.
• Strong communication skills in a challenging, multi-tiered environment.
• Expert knowledge of chemical process design for nuclear facilities.
• Expert knowledge of design codes and standards for nuclear facilities (e.g., ASME B31.3, ISA-5.1).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and lead chemical process engineering teams on nuclear facility projects.
• Develop and configure process documentation (PFDs, P&IDs, line lists, tag registers, datasheets).
• Review designs for constructability and support construction/startup.
• Interface with clients, regulators, and management; defend technical work as expert witness when needed.
• Lead project milestones and ensure compliance with firm standards and QA reviews.
• Contribute to development of firm-wide professional standards and QA guidelines.
