Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a Senior Engineer II - Design to join the Networking and Communications Group. You will contribute to bringing advanced connectivity devices to market, including Ethernet switches & bridges, USB hubs and power delivery, PCIe bridges and SerDes interfaces.

The role requires a strong background in digital design (Verilog/SystemVerilog) and experience with ASIC design/verification, working within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or equivalent Engineering with 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in Ethernet, USB, and/or PCIe.
• Digital design projects using Verilog/System Verilog.
• Proficient in Verilog/System Verilog.
• Experience with the ASIC design and/or verification flow.
• Strong analytical, communication (written and verbal), and documentation skills.
• Excellent problem solving, debugging and organization skills.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work in collaborative group environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Networking and Communications Group Design Team.
• Focus on bringing advanced connectivity devices to market including Ethernet/USB/PCIe interfaces.
• Collaborate on SerDes, PCIe bridges and related interfaces.
• Document designs and communicate results clearly.
