Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a Senior Engineer II - Design to join the Networking and Communications Group.

You will contribute to bringing advanced connectivity devices to market, including Ethernet switches and bridges, USB hubs and power delivery, PCIe bridges, SerDes and other interfaces, applying Verilog/SystemVerilog and ASIC design/verification expertise. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or equivalent Engineering and 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Ethernet, USB, and PCIe.
• Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Understanding of ASIC design and verification flow.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, and documentation skills.
• Excellent problem solving, debugging and organizational skills.
• Able to work in a collaborative group environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Networking and Communications Group Design Team.
• Develop connectivity devices including Ethernet switches/bridges, USB hubs, PCIe bridges, SerDes interfaces.
