Job summary

ManpowerGroup Global Inc. in Minnesota is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead design from concept to production launch, focusing on manufacturability, performance, and cost efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

You will create 3D CAD models in SolidWorks, perform FEA, and design components for injection molding and die casting while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of product design or product development engineering experience.
• Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks.
• Experience with engineering analysis and FEA tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead product design and development activities from concept through production launch.
• Develop detailed customer, product, and functional requirements.
• Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
• Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analyses, and design validation activities.
• Utilize FEA to evaluate and optimize product performance.
• Design components for injection molding, die casting, and other manufacturing processes.
• Conduct and participate in Design Reviews, DFMEA, and risk assessments.
• Develop prototypes and oversee prototype evaluations.
• Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Execute product testing, validation, and accelerated lifecycle testing.
• Provide technical leadership for product improvements and customization efforts.
• Support manufacturing implementation and continuous improvement projects.
