ManpowerGroup Global Inc. in Owatonna, MN seeks a Senior Design Engineer to lead product design from concept to production launch. You will develop detailed requirements, create 3D CAD models in SolidWorks, and perform tolerance analyses and FEA to ensure performance and manufacturability.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will drive design reviews, DFMEA, and prototyping. The role emphasizes design for manufacturability and cost reduction in a 100% onsite environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Agricultural Engineering) or related engineering discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of product design or product development engineering experience
• Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks
• Experience with engineering analysis and FEA tools
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Ability to lead projects and work effectively within cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Lead product design and development activities from concept through production launch
• Develop detailed customer, product, and functional requirements
• Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using SolidWorks
• Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analyses, and design validation activities
• Utilize Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to evaluate and optimize product performance
• Design components and assemblies for injection molding, die casting, and other manufacturing processes
• Conduct and participate in Design Reviews, DFMEA, and risk assessments
• Develop prototypes and oversee prototype evaluations
• Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and cost-reduction initiatives
• Execute product testing, validation, and accelerated lifecycle testing
• Provide technical leadership for product improvements and customization efforts
• Support manufacturing implementation and continuous improvement projects
