ManpowerGroup is seeking a Senior Design Engineer located on site in Minnesota to drive product design from concept to launch. Strong background in mechanical design, SolidWorks, and manufacturing processes is required, including injection molding and die casting.

The role emphasizes collaboration across cross-functional teams, DFMEA, cost reduction, and design for manufacturability, with a salary range of 115k–130k DOE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of product design or product development engineering experience.
• Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks.
• Experience with engineering analysis and FEA tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to lead projects and work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead product design and development activities from concept through production launch.
• Develop detailed customer, product, and functional requirements.
• Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
• Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analyses, and design validation activities.
• Utilize Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to evaluate and optimize product performance.
• Design components and assemblies for injection molding, die casting, and other manufacturing processes.
• Conduct and participate in Design Reviews, DFMEA, and risk assessments.
• Develop prototypes and oversee prototype evaluations.
• Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Execute product testing, validation, and accelerated lifecycle testing.
• Provide technical leadership for product improvements and customization efforts.
• Support manufacturing implementation and continuous improvement projects.
