Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, in Louisville, KY, is seeking a Senior Design Engineer (P3) to lead design ownership for Washer/Dryer subsystems from concept through production. You will balance performance, quality, reliability, cost, and schedule while collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and Commercial teams.

The role requires strong fundamentals, hands-on testing, and mentoring less experienced engineers, with occasional travel and cross-functional interaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of design experience with components/subsystems.
• Experience taking designs from concept through validation and production.
• Experience designing/testing plastic or metal components.

Responsibilities

• Owns components from concept through production implementation, including prototyping and validation.
• Develops multiple design concepts using analytical methods and testing.
• Creates and updates CAD models and drawings with GD&T.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams across Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and Commercial.
