Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to lead capital equipment projects in Louisville, KY. You’ll drive supplier selection, installation, and qualification while coordinating with design and QA teams to ensure high OEE and robust maintenance capabilities.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing/quality engineering and GD&T expertise, with strong communication and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or equivalent technical/trade experience.
• 3+ years’ experience managing capital equipment procurement projects, including specification development, equipment supplier selection, technical reviews, installation and qualification of equipment.
• 3+ years hands on experience in manufacturing engineering and/or quality engineering.
• Ability to work in large cross-functional teams and at multiple levels in the organization.
• GDT knowledge and application expertise.

Responsibilities

• Manage large capital equipment procurement projects including specification development and supplier engagement.
• Ensure equipment maximizes OEE and reliability in quality and audit labs.
• Own program metrics like labor plan, budgets and quality of in-house testing.
• Coordinate with product design, QA, and operations to meet NPIs and production needs.
• Develop layouts showing utility, installation and space requirements.
• Ensure safety and health considerations with EHS and engineering teams.
• Drive innovation in test systems design for cost and quality benefits.
• Coach hourly operators and technicians in equipment operation and maintenance.
