Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer – Laundry User Interfaces in Louisville, KY to lead mechanical design of UI systems for next-generation laundry appliances. You will collaborate with product teams, Industrial Design, and engineering to translate requirements into production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

Experience leading the mechanical design of UI systems for consumer products.

Responsibilities

Lead the mechanical design and development of user-interface systems for new product introductions.
Support current product UI designs and investigate improvements.
Advance development of UI components for Clothes Care Products.
Coordinate with design teams to develop modular solutions.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and software engineers in Lean processes.
Develop and maintain requirement specifications for user interfaces.
Define and implement brand strategies with Industrial Design and product teams.
Generate IP and navigate patent landscapes.
Apply Six Sigma and reliability methodologies to new designs.
