Job summary

Katalyst CRO is seeking a CAD/Mechanical designer to develop and refine 3D CAD models for New Product Development. You will create surface and solid models, optimize designs, and build assemblies that meet manufacturability and performance requirements.

The role requires experience with CATIA and Generative Shape Design, plus GD&T and PLM process knowledge. Marine vessel design experience is a plus, with collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in CAD modeling for new product development.
• Proficiency with CATIA and 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
• Ability to manage design changes and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify 3D CAD models for NPD using CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Create and manage complex surface and solid models using GSD techniques.
• Perform design optimization and engineering changes based on product requirements.
• Build and validate assemblies for fit, function, manufacturability, and performance.
• Generate detailed production drawings, GD&T annotations, and engineering documentation.
• Manage ECR/ECO/ECN processes while ensuring data integrity.
• Support product development throughout the design lifecycle and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, design standards, and PLM processes.
• Boat/Yacht/Marine vessel design experience is an added advantage.
