Job summary

Tideman Marine Services (TMMS), a subsidiary of United Plastic Fabricating, Inc., seeks an experienced Naval Architecture Designer / Marine CAD Designer to develop detailed 3D CAD models and production drawings for ships, barges, ferries, and other marine vessels.

You will work with naval architects and engineers to transform sketches and specifications into accurate lines plans, general arrangements, and mechanical layouts, using Rhino 3D and LiDAR data as needed.

Qualifications

• 2–10 years of relevant CAD/design experience.
• Experience developing 3D models and detailed drawings of marine vessels.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings, dimensions, sections, details, and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D CAD models for ships, barges, ferries, and other marine vessels.
• Prepare detailed engineering and production drawings from sketches, specifications, and information provided by naval architects and engineers.
• Develop vessel models and drawings including lines plans, general arrangements, tank plans, structural and mechanical layouts.
