Job summary

United Plastic Fabricating Inc. is seeking a drafting professional to support our marine CAD workflows. You will contribute to 3D model construction, 2D drawings, and drawing packages for modular boat construction in collaboration with the in-house engineering team.

You will utilize CAD/CAM tools, including Rhino 3D, to prepare final assembly and detail drawings for CNC production. A candidate with shipbuilding familiarity and a drive for continuous improvement will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• 5 years drafting experience or an associated degree in drafting.
• CAM experience required.
• Rhino 3D experience a plus.
• Previous boat or marine drafting experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in 3D model construction and 2D drawing development for new boat models.
• Work with our in-house engineering team to produce drawing packages for modular boat construction.
• Utilize CAD and CAM programs to prepare final assembly and detail parts drawings and prepare parts for the generation of CNC machining files.
