Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Planning, or related discipline.
• Five+ years in planning and design oversight; higher ed preferred.
• Familiarity with BIM concepts; ability to direct outsourced BIM resources.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Broad knowledge of construction and building systems.
• Working knowledge of CAFM or similar space/facilities data systems; MRI CenterStone a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication; translate BIM concepts for leadership.
• AutoCAD knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage project-level design through study, schematic design (SD), and design development (DD).
• Prepare and enforce campus design and specification standards.
• Coordinate with operations teams; supervise vendors and interns.
• Lead BIM program: define scope, data standards, and information architecture for space and facilities data.
• Contract and manage outsourced BIM vendors; review deliverables for quality.
• Coordinate BIM with CAFM system (MRI CenterStone) and maintenance planning.
• Establish BIM governance: naming conventions, updates, and access controls.
• Coordinate project closeout documentation for BIM/CAFM records.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, design consultants, and vendors; help maintain on-site presence.
