Job summary

Ripple is seeking a Senior Derivative Accountant in New York to own the full technical accounting lifecycle for derivative instruments and hedging relations across client portfolios. You will document, test, journalize, and disclose hedge activities under ASC 815 and IFRS 9, communicating effectively with treasury and finance stakeholders.

This hands-on role requires deep technical fluency and the ability to manage multiple engagements end-to-end with clear client-facing communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with derivative instruments and hedge accounting.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 815 and IFRS 9 disclosures and documentation.
• Experience with fair value measurement (ASC 820 / IFRS 13).
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end derivative accounting for multiple portfolios.
• Prepare hedge documentation, designation memos, and objective risk management statements.
• Perform effectiveness testing using various methodologies.
• Prepare journal entries and disclosures related to hedging activities.
• Guide clients and internal teams on hedge accounting elections and de-designation scenarios.
• Translate FASB/IASB guidance into clear impact summaries.
• Lead audit support and coordinate with external auditors.
• Strengthen internal methodologies and guidance.
