Job summary

Ripple's Treasury Managed Services team seeks a Senior Derivative Accountant to own end‑to‑end derivative accounting across multiple client portfolios. You will manage ASC 815 and IFRS 9 documentation, effectiveness testing, journal entries, and disclosures with a hands‑on, client‑facing approach.

You will translate FASB/IASB guidance for clients and internal teams, lead audit support on hedge accounting matters, and strengthen methodologies with robust templates and guidance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands‑on experience with derivative instruments and hedge accounting
• Deep fluency in ASC 815 and IFRS 9 with practical hedge accounting
• Experience with fair value measurement (ASC 820/IFRS 13) and derivative valuation methodologies

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end derivative accounting for interest rate swaps, cross‑currency swaps, FX forwards, options, and commodity derivatives across client portfolios
• Prepare and review hedge documentation, designation memos, risk management objectives, and effectiveness testing
• Execute quantitative and qualitative effectiveness assessments on both prospective and retrospective bases
• Prepare journal entries and disclosures related to hedging activities and respond to client inquiries
• Apply hedge accounting elections and designations across multiple hedge types
• Translate new FASB/IASB guidance into clear impact summaries for clients and internal teams
• Lead audit support with external auditors on derivative and hedge accounting matters
• Strengthen internal methodologies, templates, and technical guidance
