Job summary

New Horizon Bank in Virginia is seeking a Senior Deposit Operations Associate to lead daily Deposit Operations, ensuring accurate processing of deposits, payments, ACH, and related activities. You will act as a senior resource for operational research, issue resolution, and mentoring junior staff.

The role requires analyzing complex problems, maintaining control standards, and supporting audits and regulatory requirements to safeguard client and bank assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of banking experience in operations.
• Knowledge of deposit operations, EFTs, reconciliations, and related banking systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; strong analytical ability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day functions of the Deposit Operations Department, including reconciliation and issue resolution.
• Perform complex research and analysis to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Back-up for currency orders and wire transfers; coordinate daily workflows and audits.
• Support annual year-end and regulatory examinations, including internal controls and documentation.
