Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Station Leader for a Logistics Delivery Station in the Cleveland area. You will lead budgetary, people development and operations objectives, and manage a team of Operations, Area and Shift Managers to meet performance targets.

This role requires ownership of safety, quality and customer experience in a 24/7 environment. You will drive lean initiatives, set clear expectations, and partner with DSPs and other stakeholders to deliver against the business plan while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years Amazon experience.
• 7+ years of direct management experience in logistics, fulfillment, last-mile, engineering, production or distribution.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering performance and financial results under pressure.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and lean techniques.
• Experience with full lifecycle staffing: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations.
• Strong analytical capability and data-driven problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal.
• Experience managing third-party resources on regional/national scale.
• Experience managing contingent workforce during peak seasons.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including overnight, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall safety, quality, performance, customer experience and people development for all delivery station operations.
• Drive vision for the station team and create quality initiatives, change initiatives, and lean projects to meet the business plan.
• Problem-solve to close gaps between performance and goals.
• Set and clarify requirements for Operations, Area and Shift Managers; measure performance and provide feedback.
• Manage 24/7 delivery station operations delivering Amazon orders to customers.
• Maintain day-to-day relationships with Delivery Service Providers (DSPs).
• Present operational metrics to senior leadership regularly.
• Hire and develop top talent; implement a talent plan for the site including acquisition, performance management, and development.
• Leverage managers by sourcing ideas and turning them into improvement plans.
• Cultivate a strong culture and engagement across all levels of the station.
• Share best practices across departments, shifts and the network.
• Collaborate with key partners to secure support and resources for projects.
