Job summary

Amazon is seeking an AMZL Senior Station Leader in Akron, OH to oversee delivery-station operations around the clock, ensure safety, quality and customer experience, and develop a high-performing team. The role focuses on setting expectations for Operations, Area and Shift Managers, driving lean initiatives, and collaborating with DSPs and business partners to meet the business plan.

Candidates should have 7+ years of management in logistics, strong analytical skills and excellent communication;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years’ direct management experience in logistics or distribution.
• Proven track record delivering results in high pressure environments.
• Experience with performance metrics, lean techniques.
• Full lifecycle staffing including interviewing and promotions.
• Strong analytical capability with data-driven problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills in local language and English.
• Experience managing third-party resources regionally.
• Flexible to work varied hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety, quality, performance, and people development for all delivery-station operations.
• Drive vision and lead lean initiatives to meet/exceed business plans.
• Set requirements for Ops Managers; measure performance and coach.
• Manage 24/7 delivery operations and relationships with DSPs.
• Present metrics to senior leadership and build leadership bench strength.
• Hire and develop top talent; implement talent plans and engagement.
• Collaborate with partners to secure resources for projects.
