Job summary

Amazon Bellevue is seeking a Sr. Innovation Engineer to lead robotics and automation initiatives in the NA Delivery Station network.

You will own end-to-end deployment from concept to integration, partnering with Process Engineering, Operations, Facilities and WW teams to deliver measurable improvements. The role requires strong design, automation and analytical skills, with experience in MHE systems, safety, and business case development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design & innovation, research & development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or foreign equivalent.
• Experience in management of engineering design projects.
• Experience using MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.
• 5+ years of specialty experience with progressive responsibility.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, MBA, or related field.
• Knowledge of system architecture, optimisation, and analysis concepts.
• Experience with automated material handling equipment and high-speed manufacturing.
• Experience with design-in-safety.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product teams and WW Engineering to drive automation requirements for Delivery Stations.
• Identify process paths to automate considering labor, cost, safety, and performance.
• Author business cases to justify automation investments.
• Define pilot criteria and success metrics for proofs of concept.
• Provide technical docs: flow diagrams, layouts, installation details, schedules and budgets.
• Support lessons learnt for next generation designs.
• Detail integration plans for MHE automation with design and controls teams.
• Collaborate with simulation teams to validate ideas.
• Represent AMZL in cross-functional tech efforts for future robotics.
• Support development of service and maintenance concepts for field teams.
