Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and performance in fulfillment centers. You will troubleshoot complex control systems, analyze metrics, and drive continuous improvement across MHE with state‑of‑the‑art technology.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead cross‑functional teams, and implement system design improvements to boost site throughput and reliability. Expect a hands‑on role with flexible scheduling and a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/EE/Automation or equivalent, or 4+ years PLC/automation experience.
Flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays.
4+ years PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis in process/production environments.
4+ years of robotics work cells and control systems.
4+ years Siemens/Allen-Bradley/Codesys ladder logic experience.
4+ years electrical theory and automated equipment knowledge.

Responsibilities

Apply SME troubleshooting to engineering issues and mitigate downtime of critical assets.
Collaborate with Operations, FC Start‑up, software teams, and safety for MHE optimization.
Maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems and networks.
Monitor MHE metrics and analyze performance with maintenance teams.
Provide escalation support during and after hours to ensure repairs are on time.
Follow safety standards and lead cross‑functional project implementations.
