Job summary

Slalom in Chicago is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead the delivery of business and technology projects, ensuring outcomes aligned with client objectives. You will define scope, timelines, budgets, and success metrics in partnership with clients and cross‑functional teams.

You will manage day‑to‑day delivery, apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies, and contribute to solution shaping, estimation, and proposal development.

Qualifications

• Strong project and program management experience delivering complex business and technology initiatives in consulting or large‑enterprise environments.
• Proven success leading large, multi‑workstream, cross‑functional projects with significant budgets, complex dependencies, and executive stakeholders.
• Experience delivering across both business and technology initiatives. Product Management experience is a plus.
• Practical experience working on AI‑related initiatives and incorporating AI tools into day‑to‑day delivery.
• A consulting mindset with the ability to build trusted client relationships, navigate ambiguity, influence without authority, and identify opportunities to add value beyond project execution.
• Strong understanding of project governance, delivery methodologies, and modern ways of working, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively from delivery teams through executive leadership.
• Experience supporting business development through solution shaping, estimation, or proposal development is preferred.
• Industry experience is flexible, and we welcome candidates from a variety of sectors. Experience in Healthcare & Life Sciences, Financial Services, or Consumer & Retail is a plus.
• PMP, PMI‑ACP, or similar certification is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.

• Deliver projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies based on client and engagement needs.
• Apply AI‑enabled tools and techniques to improve delivery efficiency, automate routine work, enhance reporting, and support informed decision‑making.
• Contribute to business development activities, including solution shaping, estimation, and proposal support.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to Slalom's delivery capability and knowledge sharing.
