Job summary

Kiewit Foundations Co. is seeking a qualified Superintendent to lead field operations across North America. You will set safety, quality, schedule, and cost expectations while developing crew capabilities and ensuring project success.

The role requires deep foundation and ground improvement expertise, strong communication, and the ability to work with diverse teams on large-scale geotechnical projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in planning, scheduling, and management of deep foundation and/or ground improvement operations.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience as a superintendent.
• Experience with foundation/ground improvement equipment and troubleshooting.
• Self-starter, highly motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ground improvement techniques and SOE operations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and help to grow Jr. Superintendents.
• Review and approve labor rates for Foremen, journeymen and laborers.
• Manage contract administration (subcontractor/field management meeting).
• Develop client relations programs on site.
• Attend meetings with client for problem resolution and planning.
• Oversee monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections.
• Review and approve or negotiate change orders.
• Plan project completion and turnover.
• Maintain daily diary for records.
• Ensure timely performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Recommend organizational or procedural changes.
• Review and approve promotions up to General Foremen.
