Job summary

SUSE, a global leader in enterprise open source software, is seeking a Senior Deal Desk Manager to join our Deal Desk team on the US East Coast. You will partner with Sales, Finance, Legal, Product and RevOps to structure complex enterprise software transactions and own the end-to-end deal design from initial design through executive approval.

The ideal candidate has 7–10+ years in deal desk or related roles, strong financial modeling in Excel/Sheets, and experience with Salesforce and CPQ.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Deal Strategy, Commercial Operations, FP&A, or a similar commercial structuring role.
• Complex Deal Experience: Proven track record supporting complex, high-value enterprise software / SaaS transactions.
• Financial Acumen: Exceptional Excel/Google Sheets skills with a demonstrated ability to build bespoke financial models from scratch.
• System Fluency: Strong working knowledge of Salesforce and CPQ systems.
• Executive Presence: Highly articulate written and verbal communication skills, capable of distilling complex deals into simple executive summaries.

Responsibilities

• Deal Structuring & Architecture.
• Strategic advisory to Sales on complex opportunities and pricing.
• Creative deal design for non-standard agreements.
• Risk mitigation for margin and operational risks.
• Financial modeling for ARR, ACV, TCV and discounting.
• Accounting alignment with revenue recognition and policies.
• Educate Sales on economic impact of pricing choices.
• Deal governance & cross-functional orchestration.
• Stakeholder alignment across Sales, Legal, Finance, Product, and RevOps.
• Prepare concise executive business cases for high-stakes approvals.
• Ensure contracts reflect approved structures.
• Identify bottlenecks and design scalable solutions.
• Develop commercial guidelines and templates for non-standard deals.
• Monitor exception trends and approval times.
