Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join the DDR Customer Engineering Software team. You will enable DDR memory subsystems, bring up platforms across firmware, bootloaders, and OS environments, and work with customers to resolve complex issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; 2+ years software applications/engineering experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; 1+ year software applications/engineering experience.
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; 1+ year software applications/engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Support DDR enablement and platform bring-up across firmware, bootloaders, and OS environments.
• Investigate and resolve complex DDR-related issues including memory corruption, training failures, configuration issues, system crashes, and long-term stability concerns.
• Perform root cause analysis of memory subsystem behaviors involving DDR controllers, cache coherency, and system-level interactions.
• Collaborate with customers, OEMs, and ODMs to support memory configuration, tuning, issue triage, and technical escalations.
• Partner with DDR design, firmware, validation, systems, and software teams to drive issue resolution across hardware and software boundaries.
• Analyze and optimize DDR performance, memory bandwidth, latency, power, and retention.
• Develop and leverage debug methodologies, automation tools, and validation frameworks.
