Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. seeks a Senior SoC Debug Engineer for Server/Compute/Mobile chipsets within the Silicon Validation team.

You will lead bring up, debug, and failure analysis at embedded platform level across pre-Si and post-Si phases, collaborating with architects, designers, verification engineers, software teams, and customers. Responsibilities include leading debug strategies, triaging failures, performing real-time debugging of server hardware, and implementing corrective actions

Qualifications

• 9+ years of pre-Si and post-Si debugging on embedded platforms.
• RTL inspection and basic RTL understanding.
• Experience solving complex debug in pre-Si and post-Si phases.
• Lead efforts to develop and implement faster platform-level debug solutions.
• Develop debug strategies to triage failures related to PVT and marginality.

Responsibilities

• Lead bring up, debug, and analyze failures at the embedded platform level in pre-Si and post-Si phases.
• Perform RTL inspection and dive into root causes for pre-Si debug and JTAG/Si exposure issues.
• Lead initiatives for faster debug at the platform level by isolating failing components.
• Create and lead debug strategies and plans for partners to triage failures quickly.
• Perform real-time debugging and troubleshooting of server hardware (motherboards, processors, memory, storage, power, networking).
• Investigate manufacturing defects, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
