Job summary

Athene seeks a dynamic VP Sales, Defined Contribution to drive sales of Apollo DC private assets and Vitera guaranteed income to retirement advisors nationwide. This role requires strong relationships with DC advisors and recordkeeper teams, expertise in the DC market, and the ability to develop complementary capabilities.

The position reports to the Head of DC Wealth Distribution and involves leading education events, collaborating with product specialists, and achieving annual sales targets

Qualifications

• 10+ years in retirement plan sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Established relationships with retirement plan advisors, recordkeeper field teams, and defined contribution practices.
• Strong knowledge of the defined contribution market and ERISA fundamentals, plus ability to develop other capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual territory sales target across Apollo and Vitera defined contribution offerings.
• Build relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeeper field teams to convert partnerships into local adoption.
• Develop and execute a territory plan with prioritized advisors, regular activity, and measurable sales outcomes.
• Lead advisor education, field events, and finalist presentations with product specialists as needed.
• Coordinate with recordkeeper partners on meetings, campaigns, and opportunities.
• Use CRM data, market intelligence, and AI tools to refine targeting and maintain pipeline discipline.
