Job summary

Bob’s Discount Furniture is seeking a DC Operations Manager in Solon, IA to lead multiple functional areas within the distribution center and mentor salaried Area Managers along with hourly staff. You will shape departmental strategy, drive safety, quality, and performance, and collaborate with senior leadership to sustain operational excellence.

The role requires strong leadership, KPI analytics, and a commitment to Bob’s Core Values.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehouse environment with at least 2 years in a management role.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
• Experience with process improvement initiatives and owning performance metrics.
• Proficiency with a warehouse management system (WMS) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Apply your expertise to support, mentor, and motivate your salaried leaders and broader workforce.
• Lead department-wide efforts in safety, quality, and productivity to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrate proficiency in talent management by evaluating performance, completing employee reviews, and building leadership bench strength.
• Collaborate with peer leaders, support functions, and senior leadership to develop plans and navigate barriers to achieve business objectives.
• Utilize knowledge and expertise to define roles, priorities, and success criteria for your salaried leaders and their teams.
• Continuously monitor and optimize department performance for efficiency using key performance indicators.
