Job summary

bp seeks a Senior Platform Engineer for DBaaS to partner with the Staff Platform Engineer and deliver data‑driven database products. You will design, implement, and optimize relational and NoSQL engines across cloud and on‑prem environments for developers, operations, and customers worldwide.

You will lead efforts in automation, monitoring, deployment tooling, and product configuration management while aligning with security and compliance standards and roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of database and system level tuning.
• Knowledge of fault tolerance, load balancing, and disaster recovery for database products.
• Knowledge of T-SQL, PL/SQL, trigger and stored procedure coding and tuning.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Experience with DevOps operating model and scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Define database product blueprints for on‑premise and cloud environments.
• Develop, implement, and maintain deployment tooling and monitoring for DB products.
• Collaborate with engineers to meet functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Drive continual improvement and standardization of database products.
