Job summary

DAT Freight & Analytics is seeking an accomplished data platform leader to design and evolve a scalable data platform architecture. You will guide pattern implementations, governance, and collaboration with senior IT leaders to drive strategic data initiatives across the organization.

Bring 7+ years of distributed systems engineering and a strong background in data engineering, with hands-on experience in dbt, Snowflake, Kafka, and cloud services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant professional engineering experience, with a proven track record of building and operating large‑scale distributed systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of our modern data platform architecture.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of advanced architectural patterns to solve complex data challenges.
• Develop, document, and communicate standard methods and processes within our stack (dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, Kafka, ETL).
• Partner with senior leadership on strategic data projects and collaborate with IT leaders.
