Job summary

DAT Freight & Analytics is seeking a Senior Data Platform Architect to lead the design and evolution of a scalable data platform. You will drive architecture choices, governance, and collaboration with senior IT leaders to solve complex data challenges.

You’ll apply patterns like Event Driven, CQRS, and Data Mesh concepts, and mentor engineers while delivering measurable improvements in reliability, performance, and security across the data stack.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant professional engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Data engineering with dbt, Snowflake, Kafka, and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of our data platform architecture.
• Apply patterns such as Event Driven, CQRS, event sourcing, and Saga patterns to solve complex data challenges.
• Develop governance, standards, and processes for the tech stack (dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, Kafka, ETL).
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic data projects and build strong relationships with IT leaders.
