Job summary

Regional Finance in Plano, TX, seeks a Senior Database Administrator to maintain MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments, ensure stability, security, and performance, and support ETL and reporting via SSIS/SSRS. You will mentor teammates and help establish database standards.

You will manage high availability, disaster recovery, security, patching, and capacity planning, while partnering with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions in a fast-paced, growth-oriented

Qualifications

5+ years of database administration and development with SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
Strong performance tuning, query analysis, indexing, and wait analysis skills.
Experience with HA/DR solutions like Always On, log shipping, and streaming replication.
SSIS/SSRS development, deployment, and reporting.
Scripting experience (PowerShell, T-SQL, Python, or Bash).
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to document clearly.

Responsibilities

Administer and operate SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments, including HA/DR and security.
Lead performance tuning with plans, indexing, wait analysis, and query optimization.
Design, write, and optimize database code across SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
Develop, deploy, and monitor SSIS packages and SSRS reports for ETL and reporting.
Mentor junior/mid-level DBAs and help define database standards.
