Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to lead architecture, migration, and operational support for the CMS CCCS modernization in the Baltimore, MD office. You will drive modernization from Oracle Siebel to AWS PostgreSQL, and coordinate with Data Migration leads to ensure high data quality and availability.

The role requires 8–10 years of DBA experience, Oracle and PostgreSQL in AWS, plus knowledge of AWS data services to support ETL pipelines and data integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8–10 years of relevant database administration experience.
• Experience administering and tuning Oracle and PostgreSQL databases in AWS production environments.
• Experience with large-scale data migrations, profiling, mapping, transformation, and reconciliation.
• Experience with AWS data services supporting data integration and migration pipelines.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Lead database architecture, migration, and operational support for the CCCS modernization effort.
• Administer and tune databases to meet 99.9% data migration accuracy and ensure high availability.
• Design and implement backup, recovery, and multi-region resilience strategies.
• Support integration between CMS systems and data warehouses.
• Mentor Data Modelers and ETL Developers on database design and performance.
